About Us

Ted Avery has over 25 years in floral design, including a specialized floral design shop he owned for 10 years on Bainbridge Island, called “Flowering Around” that catered to specialized clientel who wanted arrangements that set their look apart from all others. Ted’s reputation grew as well as the demand for his “look”.

Since 1997 Ted Avery Design has had the honor of providing flowers for all of life’s occasions. The design team has helped clients celebrate one’s lifetime events with the finest flowers, trend setting designs and personal service.

Ted began his career as a small child when he was drawn to beautiful flowers and gardens. He would create bouquets using what was in his garden. Ted’s recalls every trip to a nursery or florist… he was drawn by the colors, the smell and just knew he was home. Early in career he had the opportunity to work with a seasoned gardener where he learned more about plants and flowers, creating landscaping and planted beds for commercial areas around Seattle.

The Process

Expect to spend a minimum of 1 hour for your consultation.

The initial consultation will give you an overview of what your needs and wants are for your event. We get the proposal to you within 48 hours. If you decide to book with us, your retainer is discussed, this retainer holds your date only; you can make changes up to 2 weeks prior to your wedding or event date. A 50% installment is due 1 months prior to your wedding/event date.

After a retainer has been received we meet with you as many times as needed to get all the fine details accomplished. We can also meet with you at your venue site to complete a walk-through, to help you visualize your day.

We are familiar with most venues in the Seattle, and Kitsap areas.

Pricing

Each wedding and event is distinctive and is designed and orchestrated by your floral artist; no two are ever alike! We can give you an approximate cost when we meet with you, and we have the unique ability to work with any budget.
